#RoadSafety Phalaborwa, 07 June 2025 – The Mopani District came alive with youthful energy today as Dumela, Risinga, and Makgwahleng secondary schools
Hosted in partnership with the Limpopo Department of Education, the event gave learners a platform to identify and address road safety challenges around their schools. The competition aims to promote practical, learner-driven interventions.
The competition, led by the Transport Safety team, was made a success through the support of the Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, and the Mopani District Municipality.
The winning school will advance to the provincial finals in Polokwane this August, with a chance to represent Limpopo at the national stage in Mpumalanga in October 2025.
By turning classrooms into think tanks, PET is cultivating a generation that’s ready to make South Africa’s roads safer.
